Challenge
At Vivid Seats, the company was scaling rapidly, with aggressive growth targets, fragmented customer experiences, and a design culture that needed clearer direction, sharper execution, and stronger alignment with business goals.
It required design leadership that could move fluidly between setting long-term vision, architecting cross-functional momentum, and improving near-term metrics like conversion, retention, and speed to value.
My Role
I was hired to lead Product Design and UX Strategy across the marketplace at Vivid Seats—partnering closely with the CPO, GMs, and Directors of Product Management to guide the product vision, scale the design team, and turn strategy into execution.
I report to the C-suite, sit on leadership teams, and help bridge business priorities with a high-craft design culture. I oversaw:
Final design execution and standards for 12+ product teams, 10+ brands, and international expansion
Org that included 11 product designers, UX researchers, and brand collaborators
Design operations and rituals to keep quality high and velocity sharp, and broad collaboration and clear communication
Owned the AI pillars to prepare the business for AI acquisition, more effective and efficient workflows, and incorporated AI into our data platforms to create unique customer experiences.
A $40M+ revenue line I own directly (P&L alignment) and reported directly to C-suite on.
What I Built
1. A Culture of Momentum and Craft
I introduced frameworks that combined rapid iteration with meaningful design critique from leaders, stakeholders, and design peers. We normalized prototypes over decks, design reviews over check-ins, and clarity over consensus.
2. A Strategic Design Org
I led the hiring and development of a high-performing team, built around ownership, autonomy, and attention to detail. I mentored Lead/Staff designers, built career ladders, and ensured every designer and researcher had a clear path and purpose.
3. Measurable Business Impact
Helped exceed a 30% conversion lift goal in 6 months through performance design and tight execution and iteration.
Led a CTR improvement of 200% on paid ads via dynamic imagery + personalization.
Launched an A/B testing program from scratch—now used across the product org to reduce risk and quickly test broader ideas..
Created cross-functional product vision and process that aligned teams on quarterly goals.
